On last Sunday morning our pastor, Rev. W.S. Plair, preached a very interesting sermon. His text was I Cor. 6:20: “Ye are brought with a price.” His theme was, “The Price of Salvation.” This thee was continued from last Sunday night.
Miss O. Ruth Oglesby was a visitor at our church last Sunday. Miss Oglesby will leave Tuesday for Philadelphia. She will enter Slater College in September.
Mrs. Hattie Davis left the city last Monday to visit relatives and friends in Gastonia, Asheville and other points.
Mrs. Mary Mitchell of Clinton Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion church, was a visitor at our church last Sunday.
Mrs. Emma Peay of West Hill St., left the city last Saturday for Washington, D.C., to attend the funeral of her sister.
