Mr. J.A. Goode Jr., for several years a nursery, real estate and insurance agent in Spindale, was stricken with paralysis Saturday, August 8th. He was working the insurance line in Spartanburg, and at the time of the stroke was standing on the street. He was taken to the hospital in Spartanburg but was later transferred to the Rutherford hospital. After a new days stay, he was taken to a sanatorium in Charlotte where he is at present.
The stroke left him paralyzed in the left arm, shoulder and stomach.
