Winston-Salem, Aug. 14—In performing an operation upon Miss Margaret Reich, a young Elkin girl, for appendicitis, Thursday, in an Elkin hospital, two bird shot were found in the appendix. The supposition of the attending physician is that they were lodged there while Miss Reich was eating quail that had been shot last winter.
