James Cartwright, 72, known throughout this section to many friends as Uncle Jim, was laid to rest in the family burying ground March 17. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Betty Sawyer of this city, A stepmother, Mrs. Delia Cartwright, and a half brother, W.J. Cartwright of Norfolk.
Mr. Cartwright for several years ran a gas station in Matthews Street. He died Monday, March 15.
