Elizabeth City, May 4—“Guilty on all counts” was the verdict of the jury in Recorder’s Court Tuesday in the case of Leonard Twifford and Amos Bateman, residents of Eastlake, charged jointly with the violation of the Turlington act as the outcome of their arrest by Sheriff Carmine and Chief of Police Holmes Thursday night on the river landing on the Worth farm, about four miles from this city. Judgment was reserved.
