Washington, N.C.--After the lapse of six days since he was supposed to have been drowned in the Pamlico river, local police officials are beginning to share in the belief that H.W. Brantley, a prominent live stock dealer of Columbia, S.C., is not at the bottom of the river and that the running of the automobile over the edge of the dock was a ruse employed by Brantley to make his disappearance.
