By the Associated Press, Middlesex, N.C., Nov. 30—The Middlesex Supply Company, general mercantile business, was destroyed by fire early today, the damage estimated at $100,000, partly covered by insurance. The building was totally destroyed.
A rear door and a window were found open when the fire was first noticed, and the supposition is that the building was fired to conceal a robbery.
