Washington, June 22—The names of the four officers and 49 enlisted men aboard the lost naval tug Conestoga were made public today by Secretary Denby, who said he still refused to abandon hope that the tug or her company would be found. She sailed from Mare Island, March 25, for Samoa, via Pearl Harbor, and no word has been heard from her since, despite a thorough search of Pacific waters.
Included in the list of the crew of the Conestoga compiled from the last muster roll are:
Joseph Harold Allen, Spartanburg, S.C.
William Jesse Dill, Gastonia, N.C.
Bledsoe S. Toms, Coves, Va.
James Monroe Wooten, Shellman, Ga.
John W. Powell, Marmaduke, N.C.
