Winston-Salem, N.C., June 22—A stranger, stopping at one of the leading hotels here, was found dead in his room early this morning. He was registered as S.M. Smith, Winston-Salem, Route One. One of several letters found indicated that his home was in Greensboro or Charlotte. He had been in the city several days and it is alleged was posing as a doctor. Two small bottles of liquid morphine and hypodermic needle were also fund on his room window.
