Wards Gap Road Residents Put Up Electric Line, June 16, 1921

Extending the Light Service

About 25 citizens on the Wards Gap road above the cemetery have erected an electric light line leading into town and connected with the local power line. Now that the city has a surplus of power it has agreed to furnish lights to the neighborhoods surrounding the city where the people will build their own line to connect with the city line. This the people north of town have done and will in the future enjoy the benefit of electricity in their homes. The line recently built cost each one of those who are connected with it about $25.
