Winston-Salem, Oct. 10—Fred Easter, while visiting a girl friend in Surry County Saturday night, was shot and instantly killed, and a cousin, also named Easter, is being held by the police in connection with the killing. After the shooting, the cousin, it was said by police, was held by the girl’s father until officers arrived and took him in custody. He claims the shooting was accidental.
