Thief Blows Safe, Takes $36,200, Leaves Overcoat Behind, March 21, 1922

Robbers Blow Open Postoffice Safe at Kernersville

Winston-Salem, March 21—Robbers blew the safe of the postoffice at Kernersville, 11 miles southeast of here, early this morning. One thousand dollars in cash and stamps, two registered letters, one containing $33,200 in Liberty Bonds and a stock certificate valued at $2,200 were secured. An overcoat was the only clue obtained.
