R.W. Fleming, a well known farmer of this county, died at his home in No. 3 township Sunday afternoon, death being caused by pneumonia, following influenza. He was ill for only a few days, and the announcement of his death came as a shock to his many friends in the county.
Funeral services will be held at his late home, “Elmwood Farm,” tomorrow, Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock, and interment will be made in Oakwood cemetery here. Mr. Fleming was 63 years of age, having been born February 20th, 1859. Surviving are his wife, who was Miss Morrison of Canada, and one sister, Mrs. C.O. Gillon of Concord.
The announcement of Mr. Fleming’s death will bring sorrow to his many friends throughout the county and elsewhere. He was prominent in the life of the community and was a faithful member of Gilwood Presbyterian Church.
