Revival at North Scales Street Church of Christ, April 4, 1923

Revival Begins Sunday at N. Scales St. Church of Christ

The North Scales Street Church of Christ is beginning a series of evangelistic meetings Sunday morning and sends out an urgent invitation to all the folks to come and worship. The preaching will be done by the pastor, H.B. Worley, who came to the North Scales Street Church in December from a six years successful pastorage in East Radford, Va. Mr. Worley is making a strong appeal to the people of North Reidsville to come in help make this, the only church in this end of town, a mighty influence for righteousness in the community. You can help much in the meeting by attending the services regularly and on time, and by inviting others to come. Come with a song in your heart and give expression to your joy in the spirited song services led by Mrs. Nellie McVay of Richmond, Indiana. Mrs. McVay is a splendid song leader and soloist with a pleasing personality, and does an especially fine work with the children.

It is hoped that the parents will make it possible for the children to attend these services. This is your meeting and the success of it will depend on you.

Dr. Frank Crane said: “What the world needs today is a great revival.” You come and help to make this a great one for North Reidsville. Someone has said, “Every one is helping the world either up or down.” Your influence either lifts up or pushes down. What we owe our children the church helps us pay.
