Oxford, N.C., April 7—The funeral of Walter Ogburn Jr., 2-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ogburn of Detroit, Mich., was conducted in Oxford on Saturday morning from the home of W.A. Parham, father of Mrs. Ogburn. The infant died at the home of his parents on Tuesday and reached Oxford Saturday morning.
The mother, who was Miss Beatrice Parham of Oxford, is dangerously ill in a hospital in Detroit, and Mr. Ogburn could not accompany the remains to Oxford. Mrs. James B. Powell Jr., is in Detroit with her sister, during the sad affliction. The interment took place in Elmwood cemetery, the pall-bearers being foru brothers of Mrs. Ogburn, Messrs. Fred, Maurice, Claude Parham and J.B. Powell. The remains were met in Washington, D.C., by Mr. Maurice Parham. This little fellow was a most promising child and deepest sympathy is extended to the parents in their great sorrow.
