Durham, May 31—R.O. Everett, well known attorney and member of the Legislature, and A.M. Maddry, Durham township constable, were fined $2 and costs each in recorder’s court, today on a charge of engaging in an affray. Both defendants entered pleas of not guilty.
According to the evidence, the attorney and constable mixed Wednesday following a session of court in which Everett appeared in a case which Maddry was a witness.
