Bertha McGhee, Mrs. Elisha Minton Have Died, July 25, 1923

Bertha McGhee

The body of Bertha McGhee, whose death occurred in Winston Monday at the home of her parents from heart failure and was conveyed in the hearse of Reins Bros. out the Taylorsville road for burial at Mount Olive in Alexander today at 10 o’clock the funeral to be preached by Reverend Bumgarner.

Her mother was a Clanton. She was 16 years old—a niece of Rev. D.C. Clanton of this county, is survived by one brother.

Mrs. Elisha Minton of Goshen

Mrs. W.E. Minton of Goshen died Monday morning about 10 o’clock at the Wilkes hospital following an illness of a few weeks. Mrs. Minton was brought to the hospital Monday evening, June 24th in the ambulance in a very serious condition and little hope of her recovery seemed possible.

She was a daughter of Mr. Vance Triplett of Kings Creek and is survived by 13 children, one or more of whom is married. The funeral was (at) the Boomer Adventist church Tuesday conducted by Reverend Craig.
