Misses Mary Ann Cameron and Vera Harrington spent Sunday with Mrs. E. Badgett.
Miss Grace McDonald was in Sanford Saturday.
Mrs. W.M. Wicker and children, Carl and Vernon, are spending a few days with Mrs. Wicker’s mother, Mrs. Mary A. Wicker near West End.
Dalton Coffer and Moodie Cole called at Mrs. Annie Wicker’s Sunday.
Mr. Hilton Kelly called at J.W. Harrington’s one day last week.
Misses Annie McDonald and Mary Ann Cameron returned home Sunday after spending a few months in High Point.
Mr. and Mrs. Southern of Surry county spent last week with friends and relatives in this community.
Mrs. W.M. Wicker and Helen Demont called on Mrs. J.W. Harrington Thursday. Misses Grace McDonald and Louise McBryde and Frew McDonald called on Helen Demont Sunday afternoon.
There will be preaching services at White Hill next Sunday at 11 by the pastor. Misses Grace McDonald, Helen Demont, Pearl Marsh, Louise McBryde, Stacy Marsh and Fred McDonald went to Cameron Sunday afternoon.
Crops in this section have revived and are looking good since the showers recently.
Children’s Day exercises will be held at Center the first Sunday in August. The protracted meeting will also begin on that day. The pastor, Rev. W.G. Perry, will be assisted by Evangelist Herman Caviness of Chicago.
