Mrs. W.G. Parker has returned from a visit to friends at Albemarle.
Mrs. J.A. Blue of Raeford is the guest of Rev. and Mrs. M.D. McNeill.
Mrs. Todd of Charlotte is visiting Mrs. E.W. Harrington on route 2.
Miss Elizabeth Thomas and Miss Mabel Thomas, who have been visiting Miss Mary Thomas, returned to their home at Pittsboro Monday.
Mrs. Daniel McNeill of Lakeview visited the family of Rev. M.D. McNeill Tuesday.
Mr. Johnnie Keith spent the week end with relatives at Addor.
We are requested to announce that on August 1st the cemetery at Union will be cleaned up and those who have relatives buried there will come or send help.
Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Snipes spent Sunday at Bailey.
Mrs. Howard Brewer of Winston-Salem spent last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doss.
Mrs. W.M. Wooten has returned from a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Earle York at Sanford.
Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Teague of Sanford spent Sunday in town.
Miss Clara Snipes is visiting Mrs. Goodwin at New Hill this week.
Mrs. Ritchie of Clarkton is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Leighton McKeithen.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rodwell of Florala, Ala., visited relatives here last week. (The town is on the Florida-Alabama border.)
Mr. Roy Murchison and family of Greensboro and Mr. and Mrs. John Freeman of Sanford were visitors at Mr. H.D. Tally’s Sunday.
Mr. Archie McDougald of Hamlet spent Wednesday with his mother, Mrs. Julia McDugald. (Son’s last name is spelled McDougald and mother’s last name is spelled McDugald in the newspaper.)
Mrs. John McDonald and family of Marshville are visiting Mrs. Mamie Hunter and Miss Sallie McDonald.
Misses Kate and Nell Hunter have returned from a visit to their sister at Kinston.
