High Point, July 23—The office of W.A. Davis, local wholesale feed dealer, was wrecked about 14:30 this morning by thieves attempting to blow open his safe.
The attempted safe cracking was evidently the work of a novice. Dynamite or other high explosive was used. The yeggmen were afraid to return for the $4,000 inside the safe. The office was reduced to debris as the ceiling was blown away from the walls of the office.
