A severe hailstorm in the lower end of the County Sunday afternoon is reported here. The hailstones were large and fell rapidly for 15 minutes, it is said. A decided change in temperature was noted in town in the afternoon, as though hail had fallen not far away.

ze Damaged by Storm at Nags Head
Sunday visitors to Nags Head report that an unoccupied house near the pier was struck by lightning Sunday afternoon between 3 and 4 o’clock. A number of windows were broken out and the house was slightly damaged.
Another cottage there was struck by lightning several days ago, it is reported.
