Elizabeth City, N.C., May 24—Charlie Nichols, negro, was found dead at the steering wheel of the automobile which he was driving about two miles from his home in Coinjock, it was learned here today. The car had been driven into the ban, but it is not known whether his steering wheel broke before he drove into the bank or he suffered a heart attack and lost control of the car. There were no bruises on his body when found.
