Will Saunders of The Elizabeth City Independent is to our notion the most effective single-handed newspaperman in this State. He knows how to write a snappy news-story; he writes an editorial with punch and precision; he does features for nationally-circulated magazines that pay him well.
We also hold and will stoutly maintain while breath remains that he is a good citizen as well as a source of inspiration to his fellow craftsmen.
