Elizabeth City Boy Scouts in Camp at Arneuse Creek did a good turn Tuesday evening when they rescued 27 women and children and brought them safely to Elizabeth City on the Scout boat, Scattergood. The women and children were in a picnic party. They got caught in one of the heaviest rains that has visited this section this season, their truck stalled, and they were drenched to the skin, and no shelter in sight.
