Spindale baseball park will be the scene of what promises to be two of the best baseball games of the season when Sulphur Springs team meets the Rutherford county all stars at 10 o’clock Saturday morning, July 4th, also at 3:30 in the afternoon.
Simmons, Wake Forest star pitcher, who has been working with the Charlotte Knitting Mill team in the Twilight League, during the summer, will pitch one game for the All-Stars, and Tomblin, rising young Spindale pitcher who held the fast Sulphur Springs team to four hits and one run last Saturday, will be in the box during the second game.
Cole and Lancaster, both well known twirlers in this section, will perform for Sulphur Springs.
