Mrs. Frity and family, who have been spending the past week here, left Tuesday for Asheville, N.C.
Miss Mary Alice Patterso has accepted a position with the Archerys Company as stenographer.
Margaret and Louise Cameron, who have been on the sick list, are improving.
Misses Emma Wilson and Cornelia Phillips returned last week from their vacation spent at White Lake and Shallotte Beach.
Mrs. V.T. Cheatham has returned home after several weeks’ visit to her mother at Goldsboro.
Archer Bass, who has been quite sick for several days, is much better.
Mrs. J.A. Clark of Norfolk, Va., returned to her home Friday after two weeks spent with her mother, Mrs. Kate Buchan.
A.A. Buchan came up from Kinston Thursday to see his mother, Mrs. Kate Buchan, and sisters, Mrs. Copeland and Mrs. Clark.
Walter Kelly and sisters, Misses Doris and Mary Luch, and Mr. Seawell of Jonesboro have been visiting at the home of Walter Parker.
Mrs. Hunter has had as her guests the past week her niece, Mrs. Mable McNair of Rockingham, and Miss Jessie Parkham of Tampa, Fla.
Mrs. Patterson attended the funeral of her cousin, Mrs. Fry at Carthage Tuesday, also Mrs. Lash and Lamm of Southern Pines.
