The death of A.P. Bryan occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.W. McPherson at Rock Creek, N.C., Monday night, May 23rd, at 10:45 o’clock, due to infirmities of age.
The funeral was held at the Friendship Church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Clyde Auman, pastor of the Methodist Protestant Church at Graham, N.C., assisted by Rev. J.M. Permar, Pastor of Friends’ Church of Graham. Interment in the church cemetery at Friendship.
Mr. Bryan was a Confederate soldier, serving in the Civil War. At the time of his death, he was 79 years of age. He was a good man and a friend to all. He will be greatly missed in the community.
Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Z.E. Noah and Mrs. J.H. McPherson of Graham and Mrs. J.W. McPherson of Rock Creek, and two sons, Mr. W.H. Bryan of Roxboro and L.D. Bryan of Greensboro, N.C.
The many and beautiful floral tributes went to show only in a small way how greatly he was beloved by all who knew him.
