Centenary Methodist Church, New Bern, November 1921

The above is a picture of the Centenary Methodist Church, one of the most handsome in Eastern Noth Carolina, where the sessions of the Methodist conference are being held this week. In addition to a large auditorium, the building has splendid facilities for Sunday School work and also contains a basement large enough for the entertainment of all the 400 delegates at banquets. Many of the visitors who saw the large structure for the first time today, were deeply impressed impressed with the beauty of the structures and the splendid arrangement of the interior.

From the front page of The New Bern Sun Journal, Nov. 16, 1921. Below is a postcard showing the church in the 1940s.
