Jack Petty, young son of Mr. and Mrs. N.B. Petty of No. 217 White Oak Street, suffered painful injuries Saturday afternoon while playing football with several companions.
The injured boy was taken in an ambulance to the High Point hospital where examination disclosed he had received a dislocated hip. He was given medical attention and is now recovering.
