Frank Gleen, 56, Gaston County Farmer, Has Died, Nov. 3, 1921

Noted Zionite Dies Near Gastonia, N.C.

Mr. Frank Gleen, age 56, prominent and successful farmer of Gaston County and a Christian gentleman who served as trustee and class leader in the A.M.E. Zion Church at Clover, S.C., for 32 years, died in full triumph of faith in Christ Thursday, September 22nd at 12 o’clock, leaving 10 sons (among whom is Mr. Clayton Gleen of Salisbury, N.C.), two daughters, a wife and a host of relatives and friends to lament his loss.

The funeral interment took place Friday, September 23rd, 3 p.m., at Mr. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church, Crowder Creek, N.C., the principal eulogy being delivered by Rev. R.T. Mitchell, A.B., B.S., pastor of St. Stephen’s A.M.E. Zion Church, Gastonia, N.C.
