Seven children, 32 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren survive Lucy Burnham, a colored woman who died on the farm of Mrs. T.C. Ferebee near Camden C.H. Sunday, Feb. 5. Lucy Burnham is said to have been 105 years old and some of the oldest residents of Camden believe that her age was correctly stated. She was a slave of the late Samuel Burnham and must have been 46 years old when President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was issued on Jan. 1, 1863.
