Catawba county birds won four prizes in the international poultry show at Madison Square Garden, New York, according to word received by County Agent J.W. Hendricks. The Buff Rocks were in the winning class, the cocks taking second and fifth prizes, and the cockerels winning fifth and sixth.
These birds were shown in a class of 65 others of their kind.
This shows how Catawba chickens stand when compared with those shown form other states and countries.
