Preparations are being made to remove the second story of the Wells building in this city, in order to comply with the orders of this city, that it is a menace to the safety of the people since the Welsh fire which damaged the walls.
While the plans for the remodeling of the buildings are not fully developed, it is understood that the owners are contemplating erecting a three-story building on the present site and making all the stores face Nash street with an alley in the rear. The property includes the Stallings and Strickland building and this will also be included in the remodeling.
