We, the undersigned Committee, have been appointed to solicit funds for the repairing and recovering of the old Center Arbor. This old arbor has served for the past 40 or 50 years for holding revival meetings, old folks singings, and other public gatherings. It’s one of the largest arbors in Davie county. The estimated cost of repairing is about $575.
Any contribution handed or mailed W.A. Griffin or Luther Tutterow, Mocksville, N.C., will e greatly appreciated. We wish to give every citizens of this, or any other county, or whose former home was in Davie county an opportunity to contribute to this cause. We hope to receive all contributions on or before April the 15th, 1922, so the work may begin at the earliest date possible.
--Rev. W.J.S. Walker, Chairman
--W.A. Griffin, Secretary
--Luther M. Tutterow
