Dispute Over Who Should Head K.K.K. Doesn't Belong on Front Page, Says Editor, April 7, 1923

The sooner the Evans-Simmons K.K.K. row is removed from the front page, the better will it suit us. I tis about the driest stuff that has been paraded as news in a long while. Who gives a continental whoop whether Simmons or Evans heads the kluckers, anyway? It matters little to the general run of people. The squabble, according to our humble opinion, has been given dignity far beyond its merit.
