Sand-lotters will provide all the baseball to be had in this part of North Carolina this summer, was the prediction today of the heads of the local East Carolina League club. These believed the league, which functioned in a lively fashion the past three seasons, cannot be revived this spring.
Kinston built a well-equipped park last year. This property will be used by the local amateur nines during the ’23 season.
Greenville, it was stated by the club officers, was fully as eager for reorganization of the East Carolina as Kinston. Expected support from Washington and other towns failed to materialize.
