The funeral of Mrs. Mary F. Harris, wife of D.W. Harris Sr., of this city, who died late Wednesday afternoon, will be conducted Friday afternoon by Rev. N.H.D. Watson of the First Methodist church, who will be assisted by Dr. Samuel H. Templeman of the First Baptist church.
Mrs. Harris was 64 years old. She had been suffering with heart trouble for two years. Her maiden name was Mary Ragland, and she was reared in Victoria, Texas, where she married Mr. Harris 49 years ago. She is survived by three brothers, all of Texas: Sam G. Ragland of Kingsville, Thomas Ragland of Alfred, and Frank Ragland of Ingram; one sister, Mrs. B.F. Roberson of McAllan, Texas; seven children: Mrs. L.I. Phelps and Mrs. W.M. Ferguson of Norfolk; Mrs. W.W. Woodward of Portsmouth; Mrs. C.B. Toxey of this city; Miss Della D. Walter, and Frank Harris of this city.
