John Henry Weathers, a farmer, his wife and Miss Irene Weathers, their 16-year-old daughter, were killed Friday when their automobile was struck by a Norfolk Southern freight train at Fuquay Springs.
Witnesses differ as to whether the automobile, driven by the girl, stopped dead on the track, or was slowly moving when hit. They agreed that the flagman was blowing a whistle as the train backed on the machine.
