At the Rotary luncheon at The Belvedere yesterday committees were appointed to secure the vacant lot between the hotel and Trent’s store; clean off the premises; place seats thereon, and arrange for a band or an orchestra to give open-air concerts this summer. It is probable that the beginning of the musical numbers will be with an orchestra. Laster it is hoped to consolidate this orchestra into a real Rotary band.
At the meeting yesterday Abe Womack gave an interesting account of his recent trip to St. Louis where he attended the International Rotary Convention.
