We are having very cool weather just now and the farmers are busy planting cotton.
Mrs. J.N. Harper was a pleasant visitor in the home of her stepmother, Mrs. M.E. Smith, Saturday. On her return her little sister, Kathleen Hardy, accompanied her.
We deeply regret to say that Miss Sally Ann Smith is very sick.
Messrs. Robert Harper and Walter Ayers of Tarboro were pleasant visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Harper Sunday.
Misses Bessy and Hattie Sledge visited Miss Bessie Saunders Saturday afternoon.
