Ordered at Warren County Commissioners Meeting, May 9, 1924

County Commissioners Court

The Board of County Commissioners for Warren county met in regular monthly session at Warrenton Monday. All members present as follows: John L. Skinner, chairman; J.J. Myrick, B.C. Hamlet, John Wesley King, and C.E. Rodwell.

Ordered that poll holders be appointed to be at each voting precinct on June 7th to take the vote on the question of a farm demonstration or no agent for the county. Tickets are to be printed “for” and “against” farm demonstration work.

Ordered that W.R. Coleman be paid $25 for the loss of one cow and a hog by hydrophobia [rabies].

Ordered that the clerk of the Board of Commissioners be authorized to pay J.E. Buck $500 balance due on county, when said maps are delivered.

Ordered that $2,000 be appropriated for the eradication of tuberculosis among cattle in Warren county. This amount to be divided in monthly payments of 175 per month while the work is in progress.

Ordered that $400 be given to the Warren County Memorial Library Association.

Ordered that Rosa Garland’s land in Hawtree township be reduced in value to $1,420.

Ordered that S.J. Satterwhite’s home place be valued at $20,000.

Ordered that Mrs. M.L. Cole’s place in Littleton be valued at $4,000, error in listing.

Ordered that P.M. Stallings superintend the painting of the work in the court house lobby and stairway.
