The Board of Health of Franklin County met at the County Home on June 23rd, 1925 with Dr. J.E. Malone, County Health Officer, and Superintendent of Public Welfare E.C. Perry. After inspecting the home in all particulars, the Board made the following report.
“We find the inmates well fed and well cared for, and find the sanitary conditions as good as could be expected with the present scattered condition of the home and the facilities at hand. We recommend to the Board of County Commissioners that they provide Khaki shirts and pants for the male inmates. We also recommend that the County Home be moved closer to Louisburg where water, lights and other necessities may be more easily available.”
Those in attendance upon this meeting were Arthur Strickland, Chairman, Dr. S.P. Burt, B.N. Williamson, Secretary.
