The funeral of Mrs. Philip C. Cohoon, who died at her home on Ehringhaus street after an illness of five years, was conducted at the residence Tuesday morning by Dr. H.K. Vye, who is supplying for her pastor, Dr. S.H. Templemon. Dr. Vye was assisted by Rev. George F. Hill, rector of Christ Episcopal Church. Burial took place in Scotland Neck.
Mrs. Cohoon was a member of the First Baptist Church and was known for years of religious and social activity throughout the community, was survived by her husband, one brother W.L. Harrell of Scotland Neck, and two sisters, Mrs. Theodore House of Scotland Neck and Mrs. Fannie H. Mixon of Henderson.
