Farmer Loses Leg While Mowing Crop with Team of Horses, Aug. 7, 1926

W. F. Cannon Hurt in Accident

W. F. Cannon, prominent farmer of N. 2 township, was painfully injured Thursday while operating a mower on his farm. He suffered one ugly wound on his leg and minor bruises.

Mr. Cannon stepped from the mower to fix a line on his team. Just as he reached the horses, they started to walk off, throwing him in the path of the machine. It is believed his leg was cut off by part of the machinery.

While the injuries have proved very painful, it is believed Mr. Cannon is not seriously hurt.
