Mooresboro, July 31—The many friends of Mrs. R. W. McBrayer are rejoicing that she is home from Rutherford hospital and is improving nicely.
Our meeting is in progress this week, much interest being shown. Our pastor is making earnest appeals for more consecration and greater service on the part of the church membership. Many have reconsecrated their lives and a number have joined for baptism.
Our B.Y.P.U. is still growing, new members being added all along. Group one gave an excellent program Sunday night.
Mr. E. G. Waitaker, superintendent of our Sunday School, is at Ridge Crest this week attending the Baptist Sunday School Workers’ Council being held there.
Mr. J.U. Rollins returned Monday from Ridge Crest, where he spent the week-end at the Baptist assembly.
The children and a number of friends of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Turner met at their home Sunday, giving a surprise dinner, being in honor of Mrs. Turner’s birthday.
Prof. Sorrells, the new principal of our high school, is moving in town this week. We’re glad to welcome this family.
Mr. and Mrs. Weathers of Rocky Mount are visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Martin this week.
Prof. M. G. Latham and family were welcome visitors in our town Sunday.
