Friends over the county were grieved to hear of the death last Friday of Mrs. Wiliam L Dedmon, at her home beyond Buffalo. Mrs. Dedmon had been sick about 10 weeks, and as she contracted pneumonia a week before her death, it was not a surprise to her family, although a great shock.
The deceased was about 57 years old and is survived by her husband and seven children: John, Marvin and Hague Dedmon, Fannie and May Dedmon, Mrs. Emma Carpenter, and Mrs. Lulu Ellis. Eight children preceded their mother to the grave. Mrs. Dedmon, before her marriage was Miss Fannie Belle Lutz, a member of one of the best families in the county, and she had a host of friends throughout the county.
The interment took place at 11 o’clock Saturday at Ross Grove cemetery, the Rev. Zeno Wall officiating. Mrs. Dedmon had been a devoted Christian woman all her life, and she went to her last resting place prepared and trusting in the faith which marked her entire life.
