“Mammy’s Lil’ Wild Rose” is the title of a play to be given at the Beta graded school building Saturday, Aug. 28, by members of the Sunday school of that place. Mrs. L. J. Henson is coaching the players.
The scene is in the cabin doorway of Uncle Joe and Mammy Celie in the mountains of Virginia.
This play promised to be very interesting and entertaining. Following is a list of those taking part: Willie Fisher, Chas. Thompson, Loy Bryson, Alvin Buchanan, Bessie Snyder, Vernon Lee Harris, Lillian Banks, Lenore Synder, Edna Cooke, Bertie Ellia Bryson and Azaelie Harris.
The proceeds to go a fund being raised for the purpose of buying a piano for the church.
