The News has added to its personnel and increased its efficiency by the employment of Mr. W. W. Wesmoreland of Durham, who is a capable printer. Mr. Westmoreland arrived Sunday night and went to work Monday morning.
The business of the News has shown a steady increase from year to year. Its business in September showed a substantial increase over September a year ago, and the outlook for the remaining months of the year is good. In order to meet the increased demands from the public, the News has added considerable new equipment in the past 12 months and expects to add more from time to time. It is the purpose of the management of the business to give Carteret County as good a newspaper and job printing plant as the public may demand.
