Mr. and Mrs. E. Walter Hill had a narrow escape from a bad automobile accident last Friday while en route to Wilmington. In attempting to pass a truck on the road, Mr. Hill was forced to either run into the truck or turn to the side of the road. He did the latter and ran into a telephone pole. Mrs. Hill received several right bad cuts in the face from pieces of glass from the wind shield. Mr. Hill was not injured. The car was damaged to some extent, but they went to Wilmington in it where the necessary repairs were made.
