Women to Run Menzies Hospital in Hickory, 1918

“To Operate Hospital,” in the Hickory Daily Record, September 17, 1918

Miss Lena M. Warlick and Mrs. F.C. Ferguson will continue to conduct the hospital formerly operated by Dr. H.C. Menzies. Mrs. Warlick is a registered nurse and Mrs. Ferguson, who was manager for Dr. Menzies, will continue in this capacity. They will solicit the cooperation of physicians.
Hickory people hope these ladies will be successful in their undertaking, because it is almost essential that every city have a hospital. The Menzies hospital, which they take over, is well equipped and the best of attention will be given all cases.
